The Hub is part of the WHO-led Global Initiative on Digital Health (GIDH), which facilitates the implementation of the Global Strategy on Digital Health 2020-2025. In line with the Global Strategy on Digital Health, UNDP supports countries in the development of national digital health strategies that aim at strengthening standards-based interoperable digital systems and facilitate the use of digital public goods.

UNDP also collaborates closely with other initiatives, UN entities, multilateral institutions, academia, civil society and governments, including UNICEF, the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), the Global Fund, GAVI, the Access and Delivery Partnership and Digital Square. The goal of these collaborations is to assist countries in aligning their digital health planning and investments with broader national digital transformation strategies. This alignment encompasses shared infrastructure, interoperability frameworks, adherence to WHO SMART Guidelines, financial support, and more.

UNDP is one of 13 signatories to the SDG3 Global Action Plan for Healthy Lives and Well-being for All. The Hub contributes to the Plan’s accelerator theme on data and digital health, leveraging UNDP’s extensive country presence.

Internally, the Hub partners with the UNDP Chief Digital Office, the Accelerator Labs and the Global Policy Network to leverage capacities and synergies.
